Jupiter Transit in Cancer 2026–2027 – Effects, Predictions, Moorthi Nirnaya & Zodiac Forecasts

1. Before We Begin: A Word on Transit Predictions

Every year, as Jupiter changes signs, a flood of articles appears online. The format is almost always the same: Jupiter enters Cancer, Jupiter is exalted, therefore Aries will benefit, Taurus will gain wealth, Cancer will have a great year — and so on.

Jupiter’s transit is one thread in a much larger weave. The Dasha running in your chart is the primary theme of your life right now — Jupiter cannot override that. Saturn’s position creates constraints or support. Rahu and Ketu’s axis determines the karmic direction you are moving in. An exalted Jupiter transiting an auspicious house can still underdeliver if you are in a difficult Mahadasha, or if another major transit is working against it.

I also check transits from both the Moon sign and the Lagna (Ascendant). Most articles only give Moon sign results. In this article, every sign gets both — because the Moon sign tells you which emotional and karmic themes are activated, while the Lagna tells you which houses are actually being triggered in your chart, and what Jupiter owns from your Lagna.

What follows is a classical, honest framework — one that actually helps you understand what this transit means for you personally. Again, for every person the results will never be same, so if you want to understand on a personal level then you should consult an astrologer to understand how Jupiter transit in cancer 2026-2027 will be for you.

2. Jupiter Transit in Cancer 2026-2027: Date, Time and Entry Details

Jupiter entered Cancer (Karka Rashi) on June 2, 2026 at 1:02 AM IST.

At the moment of ingress, Jupiter was in Punarvasu Nakshatra Pada 4. Punarvasu spans Gemini and Cancer — only its 4th Pada falls in Cancer, covering 0 to 3.20 degrees. This is Jupiter’s own nakshatra, and the transit beginning here carries themes of renewal, restoration, and return to source. Brief but meaningful.

Jupiter travels through Cancer across three nakshatras:

  • Punarvasu Pada 4 (0 – 3.20 degrees) — Jupiter’s own nakshatra. Themes of renewal, restoration, return. Only one pada in Cancer — the transit passes through this quickly.
  • Pushya (3.20 – 16.40 degrees) — Jupiter’s deepest exaltation at 5 degrees Cancer falls here. Deity is Brihaspati himself. The most classically auspicious stretch of the entire transit. Symbolism of nourishment, sustenance, the guru’s grace.
  • Ashlesha (16.40 – 30 degrees) — The serpent nakshatra. Hidden power, transformative energy, intense inwardness. Cancer does not end in softness — it ends in depth.

Jupiter reaches its deepest exaltation at 5 degrees Cancer in Pushya Nakshatra — the nakshatra presided over by Brihaspati himself. This alignment between the planet’s highest point of dignity and the nakshatra of the Guru principle is not coincidental.

Jupiter will remain in Cancer through October 31, 2026, then return retrograde from January 25, 2027, before finally exiting Cancer on June 26, 2027. This is not a simple one-year transit — it is a layered, three-phase journey.

3. What Classical Texts Say About Jupiter’s Transit

Most online articles cite ‘classical Vedic astrology’ without being specific about which texts they mean. Let me be precise.

The primary classical sources for Gochar Phala (transit results) are Phaladeepika (Mantreswara, Chapter 26), Brihat Samhita (Varahamihira), Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, and Prasna Marga (Chapter 22). Among these, Phaladeepika gives the most detailed house-by-house transit results for Jupiter from the Moon sign.

From Phaladeepika (26.7): Jupiter’s transit is auspicious in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th houses from Janma Rashi. The obstructing Vedha positions — 12th, 8th, 10th, 4th and 3rd — can cancel good results if other planets occupy them simultaneously.

Here is something critically important that most articles miss: classical texts give results by bhava counted from the Moon — not by sign. Jupiter being in Cancer does not automatically give the same results to everyone. What matters is which house Cancer falls in from your Moon sign. A Aries Moon person experiences Jupiter in Cancer in their 4th house. A Capricorn Moon person experiences it in their 7th house. Same planet, same sign, completely different themes.

Important: Always check Vedha before concluding a transit is auspicious. If any planet occupies the Vedha position of Jupiter’s transit house from your Moon, the good results get cancelled. Check this in your own chart before drawing conclusions.

Beyond Phaladeepika’s house-based rules, Gochar Phaladeepika (Dr. U.S. Pulippani, drawing from Brihat Samhita, Bhrigu Sutra, Chamatkar Chintamani and others) specifically notes that Jupiter gives good results when transiting Cancer — along with Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces. This is the classical textual basis for Cancer being a sign of strong Jupiter transit delivery, independent of house position.

The Role of Dasha — Why Transit Alone Is Not Enough

Jupiter transiting an auspicious house is like a door being unlocked. But the door still needs to be pushed open. What gives you the strength to push is your Dasha.

If you are in a supportive Mahadasha — Mahadasha of benefic planets for your lagna/moon sign — this transit can be genuinely transformative. If you are in a difficult Dasha period, even an exalted Jupiter in an auspicious house will deliver muted or delayed results.

The Dasha sets the theme of your life. Saturn and Rahu-Ketu set the constraints. Jupiter in Cancer either finds an open door or a closed one — depending on what the rest of your chart is doing right now.

Also check your personal Ashtakavarga score for Jupiter in Cancer. If Cancer has high bindus in your Jupiter’s Bhinnastakavarga, the transit delivers strongly. If bindus are low, even an exalted Jupiter struggles to manifest fully.

4. The Three Phases of This Transit

Phase 1: June 2 – October 31, 2026 — The Clean Exaltation Window

This is the period when Jupiter’s exaltation is most purely available. Saturn is in Pisces, forming a water sign trine with Jupiter in Cancer — these two great slow planets are in mutual support, not conflict. This is the most productive window of the entire transit for material decisions, auspicious events, and new beginnings.

The best sub-window within Phase 1 is June 18 to July 13 — Jupiter in Pushya Nakshatra, pre-combust. Classically the strongest stretch for marriage, property decisions, new ventures, and educational beginnings.

The combustion window — July 14 to August 12 — falls within Pushya. Jupiter remains in its most auspicious nakshatra but the Sun’s proximity weakens delivery. Avoid major ceremonies during these four weeks. Strength resumes from August 13, with a brief post-combust Pushya window until August 19.

From August 19, Jupiter moves into Ashlesha — energy becomes more inward and intense. Still productive but in deeper, less obviously expansive ways.

Phase 2: October 31 – January 25, 2027 — Jupiter Meets Ketu in Magha

On October 31, 2026, Jupiter enters Leo in Ati Chara Gati — unusually fast motion. Ketu is already stationed in Leo. They meet in Magha Nakshatra.

Magha is the nakshatra of the Pitrus — ancestors. Deity: the collective Pitrus. Symbol: a royal throne. Themes: lineage, authority, ancestral karma, royal power. When Jupiter — the Deva Guru — meets Ketu — the planet of past karma and liberation — in the nakshatra of ancestors, the symbolism is profound.

October also coincides with Mahalaya — the annual fortnight of ancestor worship and Pitru Tarpana. Jupiter meeting Ketu in Magha after the Mahalaya this year is an extraordinary convergence. Pitru Karya performed sincerely this year may carry unusual potency. Good karma offered to ancestors in this window may bring their blessings back in meaningful ways.

Jupiter-Ketu conjunction classically produces: intensified spiritual seeking, disruption of material results despite apparent planetary strength, inward turning of wisdom, and potential for genuine non-material breakthroughs. This is not a time to push material agendas.

The November 2026 Sensitive Window

The month of November can be intense as Jupiter, Ketu, and Mars converge near 1° of Leo in Magha Nakshatra around between 2nd and 3rd week of November.

Mars added to a Jupiter-Ketu conjunction is significant. Mars governs action, military force, aggression, and raw energy. Mars conjunct Ketu is classically one of the most volatile combinations — sudden, forceful, and unpredictable. Jupiter’s presence expands whatever this configuration generates.

At a personal level: patience, restraint, and avoiding impulsive decisions are essential during this window — particularly in legal, financial, and relationship matters.

At a global level: this period may see geopolitical stress, potential military escalations, financial market turbulence, and institutional disruptions. Leo represents kings and governments. Magha represents royal authority and ancestral karma. Three planets converging here is a configuration mundane astrology flags as requiring serious attention.

This is an observation, not a prophecy. Planetary configurations create conditions — human choices and collective karma determine outcomes.

Phase 3: January 25 – June 26, 2027 — Retrograde Jupiter and Ketu in Cancer

Jupiter re-enters Cancer retrograde on January 25, 2027. By this time, Ketu has moved to Cancer following the December 6, 2026 axis shift. Saturn remains in Pisces.

Three major slow planets in water signs simultaneously — Jupiter and Ketu in Cancer, Saturn in Pisces. Water in Jyotish symbolises the unseen, the emotional, the spiritual, the oceanic depths. This concentration turns collective energy deeply inward.

This is not a time for aggressive material expansion. Old patterns surface for review. Decisions from 2026 may require revision. The energy is contemplative, karmic, and in some ways purifying. The period from here on will be spiritually uplifting for many. This can be one of the best periods for spiritual sadhana or pursuits in many years.

Jupiter goes direct on April 10, 2027, and gradual clarity returns. Jupiter finally exits Cancer on June 26, 2027.

5. The Larger Picture: Three Planets in Water Signs

This section is offered as reflection, not prediction. When Jupiter retrograde, Saturn, and Ketu all occupy water signs — Cancer and Pisces — the collective energy turns inward at a global level.

Jupiter is the natural karaka for wealth, banking, and financial expansion. When Jupiter is retrograde, conjunct Ketu, and in a water sign, its outward expansionary force contracts. Combined with Saturn in Pisces, the material economy loses its primary benefic support during this window. Banking and finance sectors may face unusual stress. Markets may remain volatile or experience sharp corrections. The trigger appears to begin with the November 2026 configuration and the deeper impact may unfold through early 2027.

On crude oil — Ketu’s involvement creates unpredictability in direction. Water signs connect with hidden resources extracted from depth. Significant movement in either direction seems likely, but I will not speculate on which.

What I find most interesting philosophically: in the classical understanding of Jyotish, periods of intense spiritual planetary concentration sometimes correspond with the birth of souls of unusual spiritual depth. The Jupiter-Saturn-Ketu concentration in water signs in early 2027 has this quality. Whether one calls them siddha purushas or simply spiritually advanced individuals — the tradition holds that certain configurations create conditions for such births. A lot of pure and spiritually enhanced souls may take birth in this period.

6. Moorthi Nirnaya — Calculated for June 2, 2026

Moorthi Nirnaya is a traditional method for assessing the quality of a transit’s delivery — independent of which house Jupiter is transiting from your Moon.

Method: At the exact moment Jupiter enters a new sign, note the Moon’s position. Count from your Janma Rashi to that transit Moon position. The count determines the Moorthi.

  • 1st, 6th, 11th — Swarna Moorthi (Gold) — Excellent delivery
  • 2nd, 5th, 9th — Rajata Moorthi (Silver) — Good delivery
  • 3rd, 7th, 10th — Tamra Moorthi (Copper) — Average delivery
  • 4th, 8th, 12th — Loha Moorthi (Iron) — Difficult, delayed delivery

When Jupiter entered Cancer on June 2, 2026 at 1:02 AM IST, the Moon was in Sagittarius at 2° in Moola Nakshatra Pada 1. Using Sagittarius as the transit Moon, the Moorthi for all 12 Janma Rashis is:

Janma RashiCount to SagittariusMoorthiQualityHouse from Moon
Aries (Mesha)9thRajata (Silver)Good4th house
Taurus (Vrishabha)8thLoha (Iron)Difficult3rd house

Pisces (Meena)10thTamra (Copper)Average5th house

Moorthi Nirnaya applies only from the Moon sign — not from the Lagna. Lagna-based transit analysis uses house placement, lordship, and aspect — not Moorthi.

Two important contradictions to note:

Cancer Janma Rashi: Swarna Moorthi but Jupiter is transiting the Janma Rashi itself — classically a period of introspection and withdrawal rather than outward abundance. Excellent delivery of inner transformation, not necessarily material expansion.

Capricorn Janma Rashi: Loha Moorthi but Jupiter is in the 7th house — classically auspicious for relationships. The Moorthi dampens what the house position promises. Results in partnerships may still come but with friction and effort.

7. Predictions for All 12 Signs — Moon and Lagna

Read your Moon sign first. Then read your Lagna. Both perspectives together give the most complete picture. Remember: all predictions must be filtered through your running Dasha period. What is given here is the general theme — your Dasha determines whether that theme expresses fully, partially, or barely at all.

Jupiter placed in a house slightly suppresses the direct significations of that house while expanding its ownership themes. Jupiter’s aspects (5th, 7th, 9th from its placement) actively benefit the aspected houses. Keep this distinction in mind when reading.

Aries (Mesha)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 4th | Moorthi: Rajata (Silver) — Good

Jupiter transits your 4th house from Moon — the house of home, property, mother, vehicles, inner peace, and emotional foundations. Rajata Moorthi means solid delivery of these themes.

This is one of the more tangible transits for Aries Moon natives. Property decisions, home renovation, and matters related to residence are supported — particularly in Phase 1 (June–October 2026). The relationship with the mother often improves. A genuine sense of inner settling can come during this period — not the loud expansion of an 11th house transit but a quiet, deep contentment.

For those studying or working from home, the 4th house Jupiter supports sustained learning and foundational knowledge work.

Vedha check: If any planet occupies the 3rd house from your Moon (Gemini), the good results of this transit get cancelled. Verify before concluding this will be auspicious.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 4th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 9th and 12th houses

For Aries Lagna, Jupiter owns the 9th house (dharma, luck, father, higher learning) and the 12th house (expenditure, foreign lands, spiritual liberation, losses).

Jupiter placed in the 4th house: The 9th lord sitting in the 4th creates a Dharma-Sukha yoga — connection between dharma and happiness. The father or guru may play a role in domestic matters. Foreign connections may lead to property or home-related gains. However, placement in the 4th also means Jupiter’s direct significations as 9th lord (long travel, higher education) may slow down — the planet is comfortable in the 4th but its 9th house themes are somewhat absorbed into home and emotional life.

As 12th lord in the 4th, Jupiter brings some expenditure around property and home. Foreign connections to the home are also possible. This combination can also indicate spiritual activity within the home — setting up a puja space, increased devotion, or a teacher visiting.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (4th house): Jupiter’s 5th aspect falls on the 8th house (Scorpio) — sudden events, inheritance, transformation receive Jupiter’s benefic gaze. Hidden financial matters or ancestral property may surface positively. Jupiter’s 7th aspect falls on the 10th house (Capricorn) — career and professional reputation receive direct Jupiter aspect, which is generally very good for professional growth and public standing. Jupiter’s 9th aspect falls on the 12th house (Pisces) — the 12th house gets both Jupiter’s ownership and its aspect, making this a strongly spiritual period for foreign travel, retreat, and inner work.

Key differentiation: Jupiter placed in 4th may create some restlessness or over-expansion in domestic life — be careful of overspending on home or property. The aspects to 10th and 12th are more smoothly positive.

Taurus (Vrishabha)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 3rd | Moorthi: Loha (Iron) — Difficult

Jupiter transits your 3rd house from Moon — the house of siblings, short travels, communication, courage, and effort. The 3rd is classically not one of Jupiter’s auspicious transit houses, and Loha Moorthi compounds this.

Efforts may feel disproportionate to results. Sibling relationships may require attention or bring stress. Communication and business initiatives may face friction and delays. Short travel may be tiring rather than fruitful.

This does not mean nothing works — it means this period requires conscious, sustained effort rather than expecting things to fall into place. Build quietly. Do not launch boldly. The energy is better used for preparation than execution.

Somewhat saving: Saturn in Pisces is in the 11th from Taurus Moon — sustained disciplined work during this period can yield results through Saturn even where Jupiter underdelivers.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 3rd house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 8th and 11th houses

For Taurus Lagna, Jupiter owns the 8th house (transformation, hidden resources, inheritance, longevity) and the 11th house (gains, income, elder siblings, fulfilment of desires).

Jupiter placed in the 3rd house: Both lordships are complex. The 8th lord in the 3rd can bring matters of inheritance, hidden resources, or sudden events through the sibling or communication sphere. Not inherently dangerous but requires awareness — legal documents, agreements, and communication should be reviewed carefully. The 11th lord in the 3rd means gains come through effort, courage, and initiative — not through passive waiting. This period rewards those who take calculated action.

Placement in the 3rd house: Jupiter is not entirely comfortable here — the 3rd is a house of effort and Jupiter prefers Kendra and Trikona. However, as lord of 11th sitting in 3rd, it creates a work-for-gains dynamic that is actually productive for those willing to put in the effort.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (3rd house): 5th aspect falls on 7th house (Scorpio) — partnerships and relationships receive Jupiter’s benefic aspect. Business partnerships entered with due diligence can be productive. Marriage-related matters get some support through this aspect. 7th aspect falls on 9th house (Capricorn) — dharma, luck, father, higher learning receive Jupiter’s direct gaze. Despite the difficult placement, this 9th house aspect is genuinely auspicious — long-distance travel, spiritual learning, and legal matters connected to dharma are supported. 9th aspect falls on 11th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 11th house, which is a strong yoga for income and gains. Gains may come through foreign connections, spiritual work, or creative channels.

Gemini (Mithuna)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 2nd | Moorthi: Tamra (Copper) — Average

Jupiter transits your 2nd house from Moon — the house of wealth, family, accumulated resources, speech, and food. The 2nd is classically auspicious for Jupiter transit. Tamra Moorthi means moderate, not exceptional delivery.

Income may improve gradually. Family matters receive positive attention. Speech and communication benefit from Jupiter’s influence — this is a good period for writing, teaching, counselling, or any work involving knowledge transmission.

Gemini Moon natives in a Jupiter or Venus Mahadasha will feel this most positively. Those in difficult Dashas should not expect dramatic financial transformation — but the theme is supported and steady progress is possible.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 2nd house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 7th and 10th houses

For Gemini Lagna, Jupiter owns the 7th house (partnerships, marriage, legal matters, business partners) and the 10th house (career, profession, public reputation, authority).

Jupiter placed in the 2nd house: The 7th lord in the 2nd is a classic yoga for marriage bringing wealth or a wealthy partner. Family income benefits from partnership-related gains. The 10th lord in the 2nd connects career and accumulated wealth — professional work during this period can translate directly into financial growth. Speech and communication (2nd house) become the medium through which career (10th lord) expresses itself — excellent for consultants, teachers, speakers, writers.

Placement note: Jupiter in 2nd as both 7th and 10th lord is genuinely positive — these are Kendra and Kona lordships, and their combined energy in the 2nd house of wealth is a strong Dhana yoga.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (2nd house): 5th aspect falls on 6th house (Scorpio) — health, competition, and daily work receive Jupiter’s gaze. Disputes and health matters can find resolution. Competitive situations at work may turn in your favour. 7th aspect falls on 8th house (Capricorn) — hidden resources, joint finances, and matters of inheritance or insurance get Jupiter’s aspect. Unexpected financial gains through partner or spouse are possible. 9th aspect falls on 10th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 10th house directly. This is one of the stronger Lagna-based combinations in this transit — career receives both Jupiter’s lordship energy and its direct aspect.

Cancer (Karka)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 1st | Moorthi: Swarna (Gold) ✦ — Excellent — with nuance

Jupiter transits your Janma Rashi — the 1st house from Moon. Swarna Moorthi promises excellent delivery. However, classical texts consistently describe Janma Rashi transit as a period of introspection, soul-searching, and withdrawal from purely material pursuits.

The contradiction is real and worth sitting with: Swarna Moorthi says the transit delivers excellently — but what it delivers is primarily inner transformation, not outward abundance. Jupiter over your natal Moon brings major life changes, increased spiritual orientation, and sometimes physical relocation or significant life restructuring.

Relationships may be tested not by external events but by your own changing sense of self. The material world may feel less compelling. Those who resist this inward pull find the transit frustrating. Those who embrace it often describe it as one of the most meaningful periods of their lives.

For Cancer Moon natives in spiritual practice, meditation, or inner work — this is potentially a deeply significant year.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 1st house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 6th and 9th houses

For Cancer Lagna, Jupiter owns the 6th house (health, enemies, debt, disease, service, competition) and the 9th house (dharma, luck, guru, father, higher learning, long travel).

Jupiter placed in the 1st house: The 9th lord in the 1st is one of the finest yogas in Jyotish — Dharmadhipati in Lagna. Grace, luck, and divine support flow directly into the self and personality. This person carries a natural aura of wisdom and goodwill during this transit. Father or guru may play a significant positive role. Higher learning, pilgrimage, and dharmic work are strongly favoured.

As 6th lord in the 1st: This aspect requires awareness. The 6th lord in Lagna can bring health matters to the surface — not necessarily to cause illness but to resolve long-standing issues. Enemies or competitors may become more visible. Service-oriented work becomes a direct expression of self.

Placement note: Jupiter in 1st house as 9th lord is genuinely powerful. The 6th lordship requires that health and dietary matters receive attention — Jupiter expands what it touches, and in the 1st house, it can expand both vitality and any existing health vulnerabilities.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (1st house): 5th aspect falls on 5th house (Scorpio) — children, intelligence, creativity, investments, and past life merit receive direct Jupiter benefic aspect. Excellent for students, those planning children, and creative professionals. 7th aspect falls on 7th house (Capricorn) — partnerships and marriage receive Jupiter’s full direct aspect. Marriage prospects get genuine support. Existing partnerships improve in quality. 9th aspect falls on 9th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 9th house directly. This double strengthening of the 9th house (placement lord + aspect) makes this one of the most dharma-saturated transit combinations possible for Cancer Lagna.

Leo (Simha)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 12th | Moorthi: Rajata (Silver) — Good

Jupiter transits your 12th house from Moon — the house of expenses, foreign lands, spiritual liberation, losses, sleep, and hidden dimensions. The 12th is not classically auspicious for Jupiter transit. Yet Rajata Moorthi indicates good delivery of whatever this house represents.

For Leo Moon natives, this period is more about the inner and the hidden than the outer and visible. Meaningful foreign travel or experiences abroad, expenses for worthwhile causes, spiritual retreat, charitable giving, and withdrawal from worldly ambition are the themes.

For those already on spiritual paths, this transit can be deeply nourishing. The energy is not for career advancement or financial expansion — it moves toward the inner, the dharmic, the contemplative. Work with that rather than against it.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 12th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 5th and 8th houses

For Leo Lagna, Jupiter owns the 5th house (children, intelligence, creativity, past life merit, investments) and the 8th house (transformation, hidden resources, longevity, inheritance, occult).

Jupiter placed in the 12th house: The 5th lord in the 12th connects creative intelligence and past life merit with foreign lands, spiritual liberation, and hidden dimensions. Research, spiritual writing, and creative work done in solitude or in foreign contexts are supported. Those in meditation, yoga teaching, or any contemplative field may find this period very productive — Jupiter’s 5th house wisdom expresses itself through 12th house channels.

The 8th lord in the 12th is a classical yoga for moksha — both houses point toward liberation, transformation, and what lies beyond the material. Unexpected inheritances or hidden resources connected to foreign sources are possible. This combination also supports research into occult, tantra, or hidden knowledge.

Placement note: Jupiter in 12th can indicate expenditure — sometimes significant. Budget carefully during this period, particularly in Phase 1. The expenditure is often on worthwhile causes but can exceed expectations.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (12th house): 5th aspect falls on 4th house (Scorpio) — home, property, mother, and inner peace receive Jupiter’s benefic aspect. Despite Jupiter being placed in the 12th, home life and property matters get positive support. 7th aspect falls on 6th house (Capricorn) — health, competition, and disputes receive Jupiter’s direct aspect, which generally helps resolve conflicts and maintain health. 9th aspect falls on 8th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 8th house. Hidden resources, transformative events, and matters of inheritance or insurance may surface in Jupiter-ruled ways — with wisdom and grace rather than shock.

Virgo (Kanya)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 11th | Moorthi: Loha (Iron) — Difficult

Jupiter transits your 11th house from Moon — classically one of the most auspicious positions for Jupiter, governing gains, fulfilment of desires, elder siblings, income, and social networks. Yet Loha Moorthi means this promising position underdelivers.

Gains may come but with delays or conditions attached. Social networks and professional connections may require more maintenance than they yield. Elder siblings or friend groups may bring responsibility rather than support.

The message is patience. Do the work with quality and integrity — the 11th house gains are there in the planetary blueprint but the Loha Moorthi means you must earn them more consciously than other signs this year. Virgo Moon natives who persist will see results emerge — perhaps later in the transit or during Jupiter’s return in 2027.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 11th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 4th and 7th houses

For Virgo Lagna, Jupiter owns the 4th house (home, property, mother, inner peace, emotional foundation) and the 7th house (partnerships, marriage, business partners, legal matters).

Jupiter placed in the 11th house: The 4th lord in the 11th connects home and emotional security with income, gains, and social networks. Property-related income, rental income, or gains through real estate are possible. The mother or family connections may play a role in financial matters.

The 7th lord in the 11th is a strong Dhana yoga — partnership-related gains, income through spouse or business partner, and fulfilment of desires through collaboration are signified. This is one of the more financially promising placements for Virgo Lagna, even if the Moon-based Loha Moorthi creates some friction in delivery.

Placement note: Jupiter in 11th is comfortable — this is an Upachaya house and Jupiter generally does well here over time. The 4th and 7th lordships both being in the 11th creates potential for home and partnership to become sources of income.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (11th house): 5th aspect falls on 3rd house (Scorpio) — communication, siblings, and short travel receive Jupiter’s aspect. Writing, teaching, and communication efforts get benefic support. 7th aspect falls on 5th house (Capricorn) — children, creativity, investments, and intelligence, planning children receive Jupiter’s direct aspect. Excellent for students and those with children. Investment decisions made with wisdom during Phase 1 can yield gains. 9th aspect falls on 7th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 7th house directly. This is a strong support for partnerships and marriage. Despite Loha Moorthi from Moon, Lagna-based analysis shows genuine partnership support through this aspect.

Libra (Tula)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 10th | Moorthi: Tamra (Copper) — Average

Jupiter transits your 10th house from Moon — career, profession, public reputation, authority, and social standing. Tamra Moorthi means moderate delivery.

Career progress is possible but may not be as dramatic as the planetary position suggests. Professional recognition may come but perhaps not in the expected form or timing. Dharmic work — teaching, counselling, law, finance, spiritual guidance — is more strongly supported than purely commercial endeavours.

Avoid impulsive career changes in Phase 2 and 3 (November 2026 onwards). Phase 1 is the more productive window for professional decisions.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 10th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 3rd and 6th houses

For Libra Lagna, Jupiter owns the 3rd house (communication, siblings, courage, short travel, initiative) and the 6th house (health, competition, service, debt, enemies).

Jupiter placed in the 10th house: Both 3rd and 6th are Dusthana-adjacent or effort houses. The 3rd lord in the 10th means career growth comes through communication, writing, initiative, and courageous action — not through passive waiting. Siblings or communication networks may play a role in professional matters. The 6th lord in the 10th connects service and competition with career — this is a period where competitive professional environments can actually favour the Libra Lagna native who works diligently.

Placement note: Jupiter in 10th is a strong Kendra placement and generally auspicious for career visibility and authority. However, as 3rd and 6th lord — both being somewhat difficult lordships — the career growth may come through overcoming obstacles rather than smooth sailing. The effort is rewarded but the path requires persistence.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (10th house): 5th aspect falls on 2nd house (Scorpio) — wealth, family, and speech receive Jupiter’s benefic aspect. Income and family financial matters get positive support through career efforts. 7th aspect falls on 4th house (Capricorn) — home, property, and mother receive Jupiter’s direct aspect. Property matters can progress positively during this period despite Jupiter being placed in the 10th. 9th aspect falls on 6th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 6th house. Health matters connected to service, daily work routine, and competitive situations receive Jupiter’s wisdom — disputes tend to resolve, health improves, and competitive challenges can be navigated successfully.

Scorpio (Vrischika)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 9th | Moorthi: Rajata (Silver) — Good

Jupiter transits your 9th house from Moon — one of the most significant and auspicious positions. Dharma, higher learning, guru, father, long-distance travel, luck, and divine grace are the themes. Rajata Moorthi confirms good delivery.

This is one of the better placements in this transit cycle. Scorpio Moon natives may find 2026 genuinely fortunate in higher education, legal matters, travel abroad, publishing, and connection with mentors or teachers. The relationship with father or a father-figure may improve meaningfully.

For those in spiritual practice, this transit can represent a deepening of guidance and a strengthening of the guru-shishya connection. Research, writing, and knowledge transmission are particularly well-supported.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 9th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 2nd and 5th houses

For Scorpio Lagna, Jupiter owns the 2nd house (wealth, family, speech, accumulated resources) and the 5th house (children, intelligence, creativity, past life merit, mantra, investments).

Jupiter placed in the 9th house: The 2nd lord in the 9th connects wealth accumulation with dharma, fortune, and higher learning — this is a Dhana yoga of a dharmic kind. Wealth may come through teaching, publishing, legal work, or long-distance connections. The 5th lord in the 9th is a Dharma-Trikona Raja Yoga — the two most auspicious Trikona lords combining in the 9th house. This is genuinely one of the stronger placements for Scorpio Lagna in this transit.

For those in creative, educational, or spiritual fields — this combination is particularly rewarding. Investments made with wisdom and research during Phase 1 can yield strong returns.

Placement note: Jupiter in 9th as both 2nd and 5th lord creates a powerful Lakshmi yoga potential. The 9th house is Jupiter’s natural house of joy — it is completely comfortable here. This is one of the most auspicious Lagna-based transit positions in the entire 12-sign spectrum for this Jupiter cycle.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (9th house): 5th aspect falls on 1st house (Scorpio — the Lagna itself) — direct benefic aspect on the Lagna from Jupiter as 5th lord is exceptionally auspicious. Personal health, vitality, wisdom, and overall life circumstances receive direct Jupiter grace. 7th aspect falls on 3rd house (Capricorn) — communication, siblings, and initiative receive Jupiter’s aspect. Writing and teaching efforts become more fruitful. 9th aspect falls on 5th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 5th house directly. Children, creativity, investments, and intelligence receive both the lordship and the aspect — double strengthening of 5th house matters. This is a very good year if you are thinking of family planning. You can have really blessed children.

Sagittarius (Dhanu)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 8th | Moorthi: Swarna (Gold) ✦ — Excellent — paradoxical

Jupiter transits your 8th house from Moon — the house of transformation, hidden things, sudden events, joint resources, inheritance, and deep psychological change. Classically not auspicious for transit. Yet Swarna Moorthi promises excellent delivery.

This combination typically manifests as: unexpected gains through inheritance, joint finances, or hidden sources. Transformation that is uncomfortable at the surface but deeply productive beneath. Research, occult studies, and hidden knowledge are supported. Health matters related to chronic or hidden conditions may surface — but for resolution rather than worsening.

Do not expect this to feel comfortable. The 8th house never feels comfortable. But with Swarna Moorthi, what emerges from the transformation is genuinely valuable. Sagittarius Moon natives who embrace change rather than resist it will benefit most.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 8th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 1st and 4th houses

For Sagittarius Lagna, Jupiter owns the 1st house (self, body, personality, overall vitality) and the 4th house (home, property, mother, inner peace, emotional foundation).

Jupiter placed in the 8th house: The 1st lord in the 8th is a placement that requires careful attention. Longevity matters, health, and the hidden dimensions of life become primary themes. The native may go through significant personal transformation — identity and sense of self may shift during this period. This is not inherently negative — transformation often precedes growth — but it requires awareness and care with health.

The 4th lord in the 8th can bring hidden matters related to property or family to the surface. Ancestral property, hidden family resources, or matters connected to the mother’s health may require attention. Foreign-connected property matters are also possible.

Placement note: Jupiter as Lagna lord in the 8th requires that health and vitality are monitored carefully during this transit. Avoid risky activities, particularly during the Phase 2 and 3 period when Ketu is also involved. The positive expression of this placement is profound inner transformation, research into deep subjects, and hidden wisdom surfacing.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (8th house): 5th aspect falls on 12th house (Scorpio) — foreign lands, spiritual liberation, and hidden spiritual practice receive Jupiter’s benefic aspect. Retreat, meditation, and foreign spiritual journeys are supported. 7th aspect falls on 2nd house (Capricorn) — wealth, family, and speech receive Jupiter’s direct aspect. Financial matters get benefic support through Jupiter’s 7th aspect, partially compensating for the 8th house placement. 9th aspect falls on 4th house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 4th house directly. Home, property, and mother receive Jupiter’s aspect despite the placement being in the 8th. Property matters and domestic peace are protected through this aspect.

Capricorn (Makara)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 7th | Moorthi: Loha (Iron) — Difficult

Jupiter transits your 7th house from Moon — partnerships, marriage, business partners, legal relationships, and public dealings. The 7th is classically auspicious for Jupiter. Loha Moorthi significantly dampens delivery.

Marriage decisions made impulsively during this period may not produce expected happiness. Existing partnerships require conscious nurturing and effort. Business partnerships should be approached with due diligence rather than optimism alone.

The positive interpretation: Loha Moorthi tests the foundation of relationships. Those with genuine substance will survive and strengthen. What falls apart under this transit was not built to last. Use this year to honestly assess rather than blindly expand partnership commitments.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 7th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 3rd and 12th houses

For Capricorn Lagna, Jupiter owns the 3rd house (communication, siblings, short travel, courage, initiative) and the 12th house (foreign lands, expenses, spiritual liberation, losses).

Jupiter placed in the 7th house: The 3rd lord in the 7th connects communication and initiative with partnerships and marriage. Business partnerships formed through communication networks, writing, or media-related work are indicated. The partner may be someone met through travel, communication, or sibling connections.

The 12th lord in the 7th is a combination that requires careful handling. Foreign partnerships, marriages involving foreign nationals or foreign-connected individuals, and partnerships that involve significant expenditure are signified. This combination can also indicate partnerships that dissolve over time — not necessarily in this transit but as a general natal theme that this transit activates.

Placement note: Jupiter in 7th is a Kendra placement — generally auspicious. However, with 3rd and 12th lordships, the quality of partnerships activated depends heavily on the nature of the running Dasha. During a favourable Dasha, this brings valuable foreign or communication-connected partnerships. During a difficult Dasha, expenditure through partnerships increases.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (7th house): 5th aspect falls on 11th house (Scorpio) — gains, income, and social networks receive Jupiter’s benefic aspect. Despite Loha Moorthi from Moon and complex lordships, income and gains get genuine Jupiter support through this aspect. 7th aspect falls on 1st house (Capricorn — the Lagna itself) — Jupiter’s direct 7th aspect on the Lagna is auspicious for overall health, vitality, and life circumstances. Personal wellbeing is protected. 9th aspect falls on 3rd house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 3rd house. Communication efforts, courage, and initiative receive both lordship and aspect energy — writing, speaking, and bold initiatives can succeed through this aspect.

Aquarius (Kumbha)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 6th | Moorthi: Swarna (Gold) ✦ — Excellent

Jupiter transits your 6th house from Moon — health, enemies, competition, service, debts, and daily work. The 6th is not among Jupiter’s classically auspicious transit positions. Yet Swarna Moorthi indicates excellent delivery.

This typically manifests as: victory over enemies and competitors, recovery from chronic health issues, successful resolution of legal disputes, ability to clear debts, and competitive success in professional arenas. For those in medical, legal, or service-oriented fields, this can be a particularly strong period.

The Swarna Moorthi makes this one of the more surprising bright spots of this transit cycle. Aquarius Moon natives dealing with persistent obstacles, health challenges, or conflicts may find genuine relief and resolution during Phase 1. Debts that seemed stuck may clear. Competitors who seemed entrenched may step back.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 6th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 2nd and 11th houses

For Aquarius Lagna, Jupiter owns the 2nd house (wealth, family, speech, accumulated resources) and the 11th house (gains, income, elder siblings, fulfilment of desires, social networks).

Jupiter owns Dhana houses (2nd, 11th) and is placed in the 6th. It suggests wealth and gains may come through service, competition, or health-related fields. Gains through medical, legal, or competitive work are indicated. But there can also be expenditure of accumulated wealth on health or debt-related matters.

Placement note: Jupiter in 6th as 2nd and 11th lord is a mixed placement excellent for material gains but can be bad for health if you cannot control overeating. The Swarna Moorthi from Moon gives confidence that delivery will be strong — but the 6th house themes (service, competition, health) will be the channels through which wealth and gains flow.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (6th house): 5th aspect falls on 10th house (Scorpio) — career, profession, and public reputation receive Jupiter’s direct benefic aspect. This is strong support for professional visibility and career advancement despite Jupiter being placed in the 6th. 7th aspect falls on 12th house (Capricorn) — foreign lands, spiritual liberation, and expenditure receive Jupiter’s aspect. Meaningful foreign opportunities or spiritual experiences abroad are possible. Expenditure on foreign travel or spiritual causes is indicated. 9th aspect falls on 2nd house (Pisces) — Jupiter aspects its own 2nd house directly. Wealth, family, and speech receive double Jupiter energy — both lordship and aspect. This is a genuine Dhana yoga activation through aspect, making financial matters ultimately positive despite the complex 6th house placement.

Pisces (Meena)

From Moon Sign (Janma Rashi)

House from Moon: 5th | Moorthi: Tamra (Copper) — Average

Jupiter transits your 5th house from Moon — children, creative intelligence, investments, romance, past life merit, mantra, and spiritual practices. The 5th is one of Jupiter’s natural significator houses. Tamra Moorthi means average, moderate delivery.

Children-related matters receive attention — conception, education of existing children, or quality of relationship with children may be a theme. Creative and intellectual work is supported. Investment decisions should be made with research and care — this is not the year for speculative or aggressive financial risk.

For Pisces Moon natives in spiritual practice, Jupiter in the 5th supports Mantra Siddhi, devotional practice, and deepening of spiritual intelligence. This may be the most productive channel for this transit’s energy.

From Lagna (Ascendant)

Jupiter transits the 5th house from Lagna | Jupiter owns: 1st and 10th houses

For Pisces Lagna, Jupiter owns the 1st house (self, body, personality, overall vitality — Jupiter is also the Lagna lord) and the 10th house (career, profession, public reputation, authority).

Jupiter placed in the 5th house: Jupiter as Lagna lord in the 5th is a classic and auspicious placement — Lagna lord in a Trikona is among the finest combinations in Jyotish. The self, body, and overall vitality are channelled through the 5th house of intelligence, creativity, children, and past life merit. This native’s identity and purpose find expression through creative and intellectual work.

The 10th lord in the 5th connects career and public reputation with children, creative intelligence, and dharmic merit. Career that involves education, children, creative fields, or spiritual work is strongly indicated. Recognition may come through creative output, teaching, or work connected to children or youth.

Placement note: For Pisces Lagna, Jupiter as both Lagna lord and 10th lord — both highly auspicious — in the 5th house (a Trikona) is one of the finest transit placements possible. This is a genuine Raja Yoga activation. The Tamra Moorthi from Moon moderates the enthusiasm slightly, but the Lagna-based picture is very strong. This is also a very good promise for having spiritual and blessed children for you.

Jupiter aspects from Cancer (5th house): 5th aspect falls on 9th house (Scorpio) — dharma, luck, higher learning, father, and long-distance travel receive Jupiter’s direct benefic aspect. The two Trikon houses — 5th and 9th — are connected through Jupiter’s placement and aspect, creating a powerful Dharma-Karma axis. 7th aspect falls on 11th house (Capricorn) — gains, income, and social networks receive Jupiter’s direct aspect. Income related to creative work, children, or education is supported. 9th aspect falls on 1st house (Pisces — the Lagna itself) — Jupiter aspects its own Lagna directly. This is the most personally empowering combination in this transit — the Lagna lord sitting in the 5th and aspecting its own Lagna creates a self-reinforcing cycle of vitality, wisdom, and personal growth.

8. Jupiter Transit Remedies

Classical Jyotish remedies for Jupiter are simple. The most powerful involve alignment with Jupiter’s significations — not expensive rituals.

Universal Remedies

  • Guru Puja, reading literature of saints, lighting deepams, vishesh guru seva on Thursdays — Jupiter’s day, primary deity
  • Offer yellow flowers, turmeric, chana dal, or yellow cloth, gold, yellow sapphire on Thursdays
  • Daan of above to a genuine teacher, Brahmin, or educational cause — Jupiter responds to honouring the Guru principle
  • Study of sacred texts — Saint literature, vedic education, ved vidyarambha.
  • Respect for elders, teachers, and father in daily life — Jupiter’s blessings flow through the Guru principle
  • Pitru Tarpana during Mahalaya Paksha 2026 — especially significant this year given Jupiter-Ketu in Magha during that period

For Loha Moorthi Signs — Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

  • Increase frequency of Jupiter practices — Thursdays, Guru mantras, yellow
  • Patience over impulsiveness — Loha Moorthi delays results, it does not permanently block them
  • Avoid major decisions in haste — let clarity come before committing
  • Do the work consistently; results will emerge later in the transit or in Jupiter’s return phase 2027

The transit of Jupiter in Leo in 2027-2028 later coincides with the Kumbh mela period, hence these 2 years are going to be spiritually very good for the spiritually inclined sadhakas.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

Is exalted Jupiter always auspicious for everyone?

No. Exaltation describes the planet’s strength — not a guarantee of universal good results. House from Moon, Dasha, Vedha, Ashtakavarga score, and Moorthi all modify the outcome. Individual chart analysis is essential.

When is the best time for auspicious events during this transit?

June 18 to July 13, 2026 — pre-combust Pushya — is the strongest window for marriages, property, new ventures, and educational starts. August 13–19 is a brief post-combust window. Avoid July 14 – August 12 for major ceremonies. Phase 2 and 3 (November 2026 onwards) are not ideal for major material decisions.

What does Jupiter-Ketu conjunction in November 2026 mean personally?

Spiritual intensification, disruption of material expectations, past karma surfacing. Avoid large financial commitments, new business launches, and major purchases during November 2026. Use this period for reflection, review, and spiritual practice.

My Moorthi is Loha — does this mean the entire transit fails for me?

No. Moorthi sets the tone of delivery, not a permanent block. A Loha Moorthi transit in an auspicious house (7th, 9th, 11th from Moon) will still deliver — with more effort and some delay. The message is: work for it consciously. Don’t expect things to fall into place automatically.

Should I do Pitru Tarpana this Mahalaya specifically?

Yes, if you have been considering it. Jupiter meeting Ketu in Magha Nakshatra — the nakshatra of Pitrus — during or near Mahalaya creates a rare alignment of planetary symbolism and traditional timing. Pitru Karya performed sincerely this year carries classical support and may bring meaningful ancestral blessings.

Will this transit bring marriage?

Transit alone does not give marriage. The natal chart must promise it. The Dasha must activate the relevant houses. Jupiter’s transit then acts as a timing trigger. If these conditions align, Jupiter transiting the 7th house from Moon or Lagna during this period is supportive. Without Dasha support, transit alone will not deliver.

How do I read both Moon sign and Lagna predictions together?

Moon sign tells you the emotional and karmic themes being activated and the quality of delivery (Moorthi). Lagna tells you the actual house activation, what Jupiter owns from your chart, and where its aspects are falling. If both give consistent signals — for example, Moon sign says 9th house auspicious and Lagna also shows 9th house Jupiter aspect — that theme is reinforced strongly. If they give different signals, look at which Dasha you are running to decide which is more likely to activate.

Closing Reflection

Jupiter’s transit into Cancer is the most significant Jupiter transit of this 12-year cycle — not because it will automatically be the best year of your life, but because it represents the Guru principle at its deepest and most refined expression.

The full arc of this transit tells a complete story: the quiet entry in Punarvasu, the nourishing light of Pushya, the depth of Ashlesha, the intensity of the Jupiter-Ketu conjunction in Magha, and the deep inward turning of Jupiter retrograde in water signs. This is not a story of straightforward abundance. It is a story of wisdom being tested, refined, and ultimately deepened.

Use Phase 1 for action, decisions, and auspicious new beginnings. Use Phase 2 and 3 for reflection, spiritual practice, and inner consolidation. And always check your individual chart before drawing firm conclusions about what this transit means specifically for you.
